Background

Born in Brookville, NY into a medical family that highly valued art of all forms. Theatrical but with a scientific upbringing. Attended Friends Academy for K-12, graduated from Sarah Lawrence with a focus on theatre and psychology.

Influence

It's all about the imagination: Magical realism, surrealism, the fantastical, theatre, the study of romanticism lie at the core of her inspiration, listing her creative greats as Tim Walker, Tim Burton, John Williams, Muiccia Prada, Alexander McQueen,  Spike Jonze, Dave Eggers, William Shakespeare, and the Bronte Sisters. Idolizes travel:  particularly to experience new cities and foreign landscapes.

Her styling reflects a romantic refinery: a playful take on luxury mixing urban and solid with a girly youthful, and at times sporty flare.  Covets anything lace, hooded, fur, pastel, a stand out shoe, and a solid sneaker.

Missing fashion, she switched things up, and for the following ten years, learned the craft of fashion and retail business though her work experiences at Miu Miu, Opening Ceremony, and Maison Kitsune. Having an interest in the craft of accessories design, she began taking bench jewelry classes at FIT tin 2008, and then private instruction on Rhino for a year in 2014. The MF Jewelry collection launched in Fall of 2010, which is a reflection of her education in various techniques of jewelry design. A believer in young artists, she has taken a hands on approach to marketing the collection, creative directing campaigns featuring stand-out emerging photographers she has met along the way.
